As a Vegas singer and volunteer counselor, Kate Callender has experienced life on both sides of Sin City’s bright lights. The thrill of performing, and gambling’s devastating effect on the addicts’ families.

Liam Doyle is just the kind of man she despises—a handsome, enigmatic businessman with a knack for seducing customers into his casino hotels. Determined to put a lid on his growing influence, she prepares to picket the opening of his newest casino, Vice.

When Liam spots the lone protester hassling his customers, annoyance wars with instant attraction. And he quickly discovers the leggy redhead not only can’t be bought, she tempts him the way the sound of a roulette wheel lures a gambler.

They are natural enemies, but when a vile attack sparks Liam’s protective instincts, they begin a sexual odyssey that dances on the edge of addiction. Dangerously close to losing control...and losing themselves.

Oh Rosanna Girl!  If I didn't love you hard already, I love you harder now!

Peeps, this is an AMAZING book with quite the story to tell and I am so wrung out from reading it, I do not know if I can adequately convey to y'all everything that I got from reading it but I am sure going to try.  Let me first say that this a chocolate and vanilla book, meaning I know not everyone will agree and have the same experience that I did, falling in love with the characters, having my heart break for them, tears, joy, the whole shebang. AND THAT'S OKAY.  Chocolate and Vanilla, right?  But first, hear me out.

We have two primary characters, Kate and Liam and the story takes place in Vegas.  But not just the shiny, pretty Vegas.  No, the gritty, realistic underbelly of the beast.  Both of them have TONS of emotional baggage which they need to work through.  I loved being a fly on the wall, observing as they tried to make progress. They did, especially Kate, when they were open and honest with one another.  In the end, Liam, while he was good at helping her with her issues, his behind their relationship rather than dealing with his and that was a major issue.  They had such great chemistry between them and their dialogue was terrific, sometimes even funny.  And the about needing cold showers!!  But it is more than just sex in a way it is almost a carnal addiction of sorts. Very emotional, very passionate,  Almost overwhelming.  I will tell you that I came to a part in the story where I thought I was going to die of a broken heart.  Tears were streaming down my face (Rosanna Do you have stock in the Kleenex Corporation?) and I just could not see the silver lining.

But never fear my Romantic friends!  For is not one of the definitions of a true Romance that there is a Happily Ever After or at least a Happy For Now?  I am amazed that all that Kate and Liam went through is packaged into just 289 pages.  Reading what I have written, it really barely scratches the surface of the intense feelings involved.  I am sure that if every book I read was this intense, I would not read nearly as much because I just could not do it. But I am so very glad that I was able to experience VICE with all of it's wonderfully excruciating highs and lows.  Most certainly it is not for the under 18 crowd and only for a Mature Audience but if you love a Romance that is packed full of really emotions, not just happiness, where the characters have to truly work to achieve their HEA, then I strongly recommend VICE.
